We are looking for a highly experienced, hands-on, Construction Safety Director to be based out of our Houston, Texas or Chicago, Illinois office.  This individual will lead our Industrial Group Safety Program for 7 different operating centers nationwide. Responsibilities also include frequent interaction with employees and subcontractors; develop a project safety facilitator program; direct efforts to continuously improve our overall safety culture, develop procedures, safety standards, and best practices in a team environment; help facilitators acquire necessary skills/knowledge/certifications by conducting interactive training; investigating near-miss incidents.  Ability to travel and work at heights are required.  Must have 10+ years experience in safety management and have leadership skills to effectively train and mentor others. Individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a quickly changing open team environment. Fluency in Spanish and experience w/ a self-performing contractor are a plus.
